Dr. Rajender Singh, Professor and Head, Dept. of Hindi and Dean, Humanities and Languages, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari has been a teacher of Hindi since 1998 when he entered the College services at R.K.S.D. (PG) College, Kaithal (Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra Haryana). Besides being a dynamic Professor of Hindi, he has been keenly interested in research and innovation in Education. He is a prolific writer. He has 31 books to his credit and 26 research papers published in National and International journals. He is, at once, a Poet, a Story-teller, a Critic, an Editor and an Anthologist. He has published three anthologies of poems, two anthologies of short stories, six books on criticism and 20 books on Folk literature. His two books were published by Haryana Granth Academy, Panchkula. He is honoured with Shri Arjun Dass Malik Memorial Literary Award in 2011 organized by Sahitya Sabha, Kaithal. He supervised the Thesis of 01 Ph.D. Scholar, 21 M.Phil. Dissertations and examined 03 Ph.D. theses and conducted 01 viva voce at University of Delhi. He has also examined the M.Phil. Dissertation of 01 candidate and conducted their viva voce on at University of Delhi. He presented research papers in 04 International, 14 National and 02 state level Seminars/Conferences. His areas of Specialization are Folk Literature, Critical Theories, Autobiography, Poetry, Novel and Comparative literature. Besides Academics, he has also been actively participating in social activities.
