Prof. Sunil Mahawar presently serves as a Professor in the Department of Gandhian
and Peace Studies and holds the position of Head of the Department. Formerly, he served as
Dean at the School of Social Sciences, Head, Department of Social Work and Head,
Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies. He is an esteemed member of the Internal
Quality Assurance Cell, Research and Development Cell, and Academic Council of Mahatma
Gandhi Central University. Prior to his current role, he contributed his expertise to
Banasthali Vidyapith (Deemed to be University), Rajasthan (India) as an Associate Professor
and Assistant Professor.
With 21 years of experience, Prof. Mahawar has been dedicated to teaching various
levels of education, including U.G., P.G., and M.Phil. classes. Throughout his career, he has
provided guidance to 6 Ph. D. and 9 M.Phil. Research Scholars. Prof. Mahawar is the author
of 2 books and has edited 1 book, showcasing his academic prowess. His extensive
contributions encompass over 40 research papers, articles, and chapters in distinguished
journals and edited volumes. His expertise extends to delivering keynote addresses and
special lectures at both offline and online national and international seminars, as well as
refresher courses. He has also presented more than 40 papers in National and International
Seminars.
Demonstrating his commitment to academic growth, Prof. Mahawar has organized
two faculty development programmes along with National Seminars and numerous online
webinars and lectures. His research interests primarily revolve around Gandhian Thought,
Womens Studies, and Political Theory. Prof. Mahawar teaching skills have garnered him
deep appreciation from his students, who hold him in high regard for his exceptional
pedagogical approach.
